How to Make a Fun Fabric Flowered Card

Hello everyone, Stacy here sharing a simple but pretty fun fabric flowered card today.

On this card I used lots of paper layering, some fabric, and a little twine. So I sat down to create this card and was so excited because I love the colors from this line. After I got all the paper on, I noticed I forgot to wrap the twine around my paper!! At first I thought well I will just leave it off, then it hit me.....HELLO grab your Best Glue Ever and just put a thin strip of glue across and place you twine down!!! :) Worked like a champ!!!

Here is the card I created for today, notice the flower!!

This flower I created using fabric. After I cut the flowers and petals it was time to put it together. So again I grabbed the Best Glue Ever and started putting it together. Super easy, I even used the glue to adhere the flower to the card. I used a tutorial from Tammy Tutterow.

Well that's all from me today, I hope you all are having a ScraPerfect day!!!

~Stacy~

How to Make Adorable Boy's Scrapbook Layouts.

Penny here today to show you how to make an adorable boy's scrapbook layout. This layout features my grandson Matthew who for once was nicely posing for a photograph.

So part of the reason this layout is so adorable is the look of sweet innocence on his face. Trust me this is not always the case. The reason he was so willing to lay still for this photo is because prior to this photo he had been running around, and climbing trees. So waiting till they get rid of all that energy is a large part of getting a great boy, or child's photo like this one.

A lot of the supplies for this layout came from Robin's Nest Scrapbooking.  They included both sheets of pattern paper the B side of Pink-Glitter-Coral, Charity,  Dew-Drops-Originals, and Diamond-Dew-DropsGlitter-Cardstock, and "Picture Perfect" card from Saffron-Cards.

Another part of making this layout work is the color of his shirt, and how they work with the background papers. Since they are all light blue it effectively divides the layout into thirds which is always pleasing to the eye. The additional strips of washi tape also help to define these areas. The word "Matthew" was made using K & Co chipboard letters, they also made the photo corners

When making the tag "Hello Beautiful" I used a pre-made tag, and a sticker. I placed the Dew drops around each scallop in the center of the tag's edges. Placing, and gluing these in the correct position would have been almost impossible, without the help of ScraPerfect's Embellie Gellie

and ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever using both these together made a difficult task super easy, because the glue hold extremely well in small amounts, and the embellie gellie tool let's you precisely place even the smallest of embellishments. It's also great for lining up alphabet stickers.

The arrows on the page also help draw the eye into the photo, and I loved the tag on the right hand side with the metal camera paper clip, just to give some balance to that side of the page. .

Well I hope you had fun today while we took apart the design element's of this page! Till next time Happy Scrapping. Love Penny

Tips For Easy Sparkling Embellishment Creation

Hey Scrappy Friends!  Lyne here today with my tip on using transfer foil to create easy and sparkling embellishments.
Prior to join the ScraPerfect team I have never worked with foils, but I saw they had so much potential to help me create tiny embellishments for my pages.  Using glue though I wasn't having great success.  I know the other ladies use it to perfection, but I just couldn't get it even enough for my liking.  Everything was bumpy, and that wasn't what I was going for in this case.
I set them aside and got to thinking.  What could I do to make my adhesive application more even.  I thought about watering The Best Glue Ever down and using a brush, but that was more work than I wanted.  I wanted something quick and easy, and finally it came to me.  My Xyron machine!  I have two, but I used the smaller one to test my idea.

I cut a piece of cardstock to fit...ran it through the machine, and applied the foil.  Look at the perfect, and even, coat of foil on my paper.  I finally had the look I was going for!

I then took the tiny punches I keep on my desk for exactly this sort of thing and went to town.  I now have perfectly covered and smooth embellishments in my extras container using my scrap cardstock.

I now have two perfect ways to use my foil.  Glue for texture and Xyron for smooth.  Hope that gives you a new idea on how to use your foils.

How to Make an Easy Embossed Butterfly Watercolor Splash Card

Hello ~ Kathy here from Create.365 to share an easy card with you that I made using 2 of my favorite ScraPerfect products! This will be one of the cards the gals at my local library will get to make in the month of September at our cardmaking class, but I will also be entering it @ Shopping Our Stash for "Butterflies, Bees & Bugs", @ Pause Dream Enjoy for "Summer Bugs" and @ Happy Little Stampers for both the Watercolor and CAS July challenges.

Making the watercolor background on this one layer white A2 size card is as easy as scribbling with 3 colors of Metallic Gel Sticks and then wetting it with a flat, wide water color brush! I used the purple, blue and green sticks today.

While the background was drying, I prepped a scrap of white cardstock with the Perfect Crafting Pouch to remove static and stamped the butterfly from Fun Stampers Journey in Versamark ink on it. I then heat embossed it using black powder. I really won't do this anymore without the Crafting Pouch because tiny bits of stray black embossing powder can ruin a card front in the blink of an eye, lol! Once the powder was cool, I brushed the Perfect Cleaning Cloth over the image to remove any residue and then fussy cut it out with small detail scissors.

Once I added the butterfly to the card front with foam pop dots, I brushed clear Wink of Stella over some of the butterfly details to add shimmer that matches the shimmer in the metallic gel stick watercolors.

After stamping the sentiment in black ink at the bottom center of the card, I rounded all four corners with a corner punch.

Keeping it Clean and Simple (CAS), I only stamped the "happy birthday" sentiment (retired from TAC) on the inside in more black ink.

And that's it for me today...until next time, happy crafting with ScraPerfect~

Fast and Easy Way to Remove Scotch Tape

Hello!
Last winter, I had someone stopping by to pick up something and since I wasn't going to be home, I taped the envelope to the front door. Big mistake! When he removed the envelope, the tape that was holding it on the door remained. I tried taking it off, with no luck. With the cold weather here, I decided to wait until it warmed up.
Here's what it looked like when I finally decided to remove it:

I grabbed my bottle of the Best Cleaner Ever and sprayed it on the tape. I let it sit a few minutes and

Then I scrapped the glass using my fingernail and wiped it with a paper towel.

I did this with all 3 pieces  of tape.

Once again, I had awesome results with the Best Cleaner Ever! I love this stuff!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Fabulous Shabby Chic Floral Crown Made Easy With The Best Glue Ever

Hello there crafty friends, Michelle here today to share with you my latest project using the  amazing products of ScraPerfect, which made transforming this thrift store neglected and torn crown, into a FABULOUS Shabby Floral Crown.

I first cut off several of the metal "coils"  that had broken and spiked out in various places on the crown. I then used white heavy gesso, and covered the inside and the outside of the crown, to dull down the brassy gold. Once dried, I randomly used a Rose Gold paint over the entire crown.

http://scraperfect.com/best-glue-ever/

I chose a white floral lace to wrap around the base of the crown, followed by pink seam ribbon, using the Best Glue Ever for both applications. I also added a strip of off white flat back pearls predesigned on adhesive, rescecuring with the Best Glue Ever, over the top of the pink seam ribbon, for an added flair.

To create the crown front, I cut two 4-1/2 inch strips of white hem binding and used about 2-1/2 inches of the overlapped pink seam ribbon to make loop like bows, once again, adhereing with the Best Glue Ever

Once the glue had set with the the ribbon, I used Best Glue Ever to attach a sequined appliqué, one large white rose, two beautiful pink crinkled flowers & a couple of other white flowers with green stamen centers to finish the front of the crown.

Have you ever been annoyed by trying to perfectly place your gem/bling strategically and still not get right on spot? Well then you haven't tried ScraPerfect's Embellie Gellie. Believe me, when it came to adding the various color and size flat back pearls to the remainder of this crown, the Embellie Gellie (along with Best Glue Ever) took out ALL the
frustration, and the results, perfection.

How to add an easy POP to your projects with Transfer Foils

Hello and welcome back to the blog today.  Shelly with you, sharing a simple layout with a pop of metallic red.  I love pops of red on my layouts and ScraPerfect Transfer Foils are so easy to use, they make adding a POP to your layout a cinch! Today's layout is commemorating my life long passion for reading.

To create my red foil arrow:

  • Using finger (or small paintbrush if you prefer) cover entire surface of chipboard shape with a VERY thin layer of Best Glue Ever.  BGE will go on white, and then clears as it dries.
  • Once the glue has become clear and tacky to the touch, place your transfer foil (color side up) on top of your chipboard piece
  • Rub with your finger all over entire surface
  • Quickly pull transfer foil sheet off of chipboard piece
  • It really is that easy!

Another embellishment technique I love using is to "deactivate" stickers with the Perfect Crafting Pouch.  This allows me to layer and build up the stickers and even add dimension.

Once I customized my embellishments, I put my layout together and of course used my Embellie Gellie to apply most of my components.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

Have a creative week!
